Speech Strategy News was launched by Bill Meisel in August 2006 as a combination of Speech Recognition Update and Telephone Strategy News newsletters, reflecting the growing overlap between speech recognition in telephony (where the speech recognition is usually performed within the network) and on other devices, particularly those that are connected to networks.
